GCPay is a full pay-application and compliance platform for general contractors, now owned by Autodesk. LienDone is the lien-waiver-only piece you bolt onto whatever billing setup you already run.

GCPay (acquired by Autodesk via its January 2026 deal for Payapps, GCPay's parent) is a cloud platform built around the AIA G702/G703 pay-application cycle. Lien waivers, ePayments, compliance docs, and an integration roster covering Procore, Sage, CMiC, Acumatica, and Viewpoint all sit on top of that pay-app spine. The pitch is one platform for the whole payment-and-compliance flow.
LienDone is narrower on purpose. We don't run your pay app. We don't move money. We don't track every compliance doc. We do one job: send a tokenized link, get a signed waiver back, log who signed when. If your pay-app process already works in Sage or QuickBooks or a spreadsheet and only the waiver step is broken, LienDone slots in without disturbing the rest.

When GCPay is the right call
If you need pay-app automation, ePayments, notarized waivers, and a deep integration into Sage, CMiC, or Viewpoint inside one platform, GCPay is built for that whole flow. If you're also rolling out Autodesk Construction Cloud, the post-acquisition roadmap will likely line up. Buying a waiver-only tool would leave the rest of your AP work uncovered.
When LienDone is the right call
- Your pay-app flow already works (Sage, Foundation, QuickBooks, Excel) and only the waiver collection step is broken.
- You don't want subs creating yet another account just to sign a release.
